Specific Soft Tissue Mobilisation

Specific Soft Tissue Mobilisation

Specific soft tissue mobilisation (SSTM) uses specific and progressive application of force by the use of combined manual techniques and movements to promote collagen synthesis in the early stages of the healing process. Collagen is like a glue that provides strength and structure to the tissues.

SSTM also helps to release the tension of muscles, ligaments and tendons not just in the relax state but also when they are at their maximum flexibility. Many times the pain does is not felt when we are resting but actually when we are performing an activity. The tissues are mobilized in their functional state like squatting, lunging, performing a tennis movement etc... perfect for anyone shoulder rotator cuff impingement, Achilles tendinitis and runners knees.
